Who We Are

Dale Tyndall Physiotherapy Inc is a physiotherapy practice committed to restoring movement, enhancing performance, and promoting long-term wellbeing through evidence-based, personalised care.

Led by an experienced physiotherapist, our practice is built on a reputation of clinical excellence, professionalism, and a deep commitment to patient-centred outcomes. We work with clients across all stages of life, from those recovering from injury or surgery to individuals looking to optimise their physical potential.

Where To Find Us
We are located at 53 Hendrik Road, Corner of Leslie Road, Poortview, Roodepoort. Our practice offers a calm and private setting where your healing is prioritised, and your experience is as important as your outcome.

what we treat

At your first consultation, we perform a comprehensive assessment followed by hands-on treatment tailored to your condition. Where needed, we develop a personalised exercise and rehabilitation programme designed to restore movement, strength, and confidence. Our goal is to help you recover effectively and return, as closely as possible, to your previous level of function and daily activity.

Headaches

Tension headaches, cervicogenic headaches, and migraines triggered by neck or TMJ conditions can quietly disrupt your life, focus, and mood.

Dale assesses the cervical spine, TMJ, posture, ergonomics, and performs a lifestyle audit to address the physical drivers of your headaches — combining hands-on therapy, electrotherapy and rehabilitation to keep them away.

Back & Neck Pain

A stiff morning neck, a long-standing lower back ache, or sharp pain after lifting awkwardly — spinal discomfort affects almost every movement you make.

Whether it's a new condition or one that's been bothering you for a while, we work to identify the causes, restore safe mobility, and rebuild movement to protect you from the next flare-up.

Joint Aches & Pains

Stiffness or pain in the shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, or hands can creep in with age, repetitive strain, or a fresh flare of arthritis.

Targeted joint mobilisation, soft-tissue release, electrotherapy, and progressive strengthening relieve discomfort and return reliable, pain-free movement to the joints you depend on every day.

Jaw (TMJ) Pain & Dysfunction

Clicking, locking, earache, headaches behind the eyes, or pain when talking, chewing and yawning often trace back to the temporomandibular joint and its surrounding muscles.

Through targeted intra- and extra-oral techniques, gentle joint mobilisation, exercises for jaw control and electrotherapy, we restore comfort and function to one of the busiest joints in your body.

Sinusitis, Eustachian Tube Dysfunction & Orofacial Pain

Persistent sinus congestion and pressure headaches can often be effectively managed with physiotherapy.

At Dale Tyndall Physiotherapy, we use gentle sinus drainage techniques, lymphatic drainage, electrotherapy and intra-oral mobilisation to address sinus pain, Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and orofacial pain.

Chronic Pain Conditions

Pain that has been with you for months — or years — needs more than short-term treatment. It calls for a steady, holistic plan that addresses the body and the nervous system that has learned to guard it.

Dale partners with you over the long term, blending hands-on therapy, graded movement, education, and pacing strategies to slowly reduce pain and rebuild your confidence in your body.

Sports Injuries

From a hamstring strain on the rugby field to ‘tennis elbow’, ‘runner's knee’, or a ‘sprained ankle’, acute and overuse injuries deserve precise, sport-specific rehabilitation.

We guide you through every phase of recovery, from initial care to return-to-sport, so you come back not just healed but performing with confidence.

Post-Operative Orthopaedic Conditions

Surgery is only the first step — what you do in the weeks and months that follow shapes how well your knee, hip, shoulder, or spine recovers.

Working closely with your surgeon's protocol, Dale provides structured post-op rehabilitation to safely restore range, strength, and function so you can get back to what matters.

Book an Appointment

electrotherapy

frequently asked questions

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No — physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners in South Africa. Some funders may require a GP's referral to fully settle the consultation fee — please check with your funder.

Do I need X-rays?

While X-rays and imaging may shed light on your condition, they are generally not a prerequisite to treatment. We can assess and discuss further investigations that may be relevant to you. If you have had X-ray, sonar or MRI scans done, please bring them along.

Do you treat children?

We treat pre-teens, teenagers and adults. For younger children, we can refer you to a paediatric physiotherapist.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows movement.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your condition, but we will discuss a clear plan with you after your first assessment.
